University of Oslo joins ECLC

All partners of the ECLC would like to welcome our newest member, the University of Oslo and its Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages (IKOS). As from now Oslo is a member of the ECLC programme, and the first group of Bachelor students will study in Beijing during the coming winter semester, together with Master students from Würzburg.
The University of Oslo was founded in 1811 as the first university in Norway. Chinese studies (sinology) was established in Oslo in 1966, today offering Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes in China Studies. Ca. 50 new Bachelor students are recruited each fall semester. Currently more than one hundred students are enrolled in China studies at all levels.
