Due to the worldwide outbreak of SARS-Cov-2 in early 2020 the European partner universities have not been able to send their students to Peking University since the summer/spring term 2020. Instead the ECLC office has arranged for online classes, which are taught by the staff in Beijing to students in Germany, Denmark and Norway. On 15 June 2018 ten ECLC students from Germany and Denmark, together with exchange students from other countries, learned how to make Zongzi under the guidance of professional cooks. 23 Apr 2018 A Late Spring Visit to the Drum Tower

In late April 2018 a group of Danish and German students, together with ECLC office staff and one of the language teachers, took a trip to the famous Beijing Drum Tower. They took a ride in the Hutongs, explored the street life in the hutongs surrounding the Drum Tower, and learned about traditional Chinese craftmanship. Eleven students from Aarhus and Würzburg University participated in this year‘s Asian International Model United Nations (AIMUN) conference. The highly anticipated annual event took place from March 29th to April 1st. 24 Jul 2017 Excursion to Qufu

In June Culture class students were offered the chance to take part in a two-day excursion to Confucius' hometown Qufu, in Shandong province. Students and teachers of the ECLC learned about traditional Chinese culture by taking classes on and practicing calligraphy, book binding techniques, archery, amongst others.
